Shake It Records
The Shake It Records Label was started by Jess Hirbe & Doc Kalmus in 1978 as a way to issue records from local no-goods – mainly The Customs. It sat dormant for most of the 1980′s until it was revived to issue The Mortals “The One” 7′ in 1993. Since then, the label’s present owners have released (or will soon release) albums, CD’s & 7′s from The Ass Ponys, Nomads, Hogscraper, Hasil Adkins, The Cowslingers, Tigerlilies, Long Gones, Thee Shams, Pearlene, Man or Astroman? Sound of the House

The sound of their house is worth detecting, developing and deploying so that others may hear and follow it. We service our clients with a one-stop-shop concept in recording. From writing and arranging songs to copyrights, publishing, artwork, manufacturing and distribution – we make it simple to be successful at recording and releasing the sound of a church. We write songs from the messages being preached by the Pastor, assist in arranging the songs and prepare them for a Live Recording. Through our online school we teach worship leaders how to write songs from the message.

Syntax Records
“Syntax” is hard to define for some. The dictionary describes it as “a connected or orderly system” or “a harmonious arrangement of parts or elements.” With that in mind, it makes sense that it was many small pieces unfolding and coming together that helped bring Syntax Records to life in 1997. What began as a dream shared between two brothers who loved music has become a force infiltrating the music business since. Syntax has developed a formula combining major market quality and production with strategic grassroots marketing and development.
